2007-> - Post-doctoral fellow at the General Pathology Department of the Second University of Napoli under the supervision of Prof. Alessandro Weisz.

2003-> 2006 PhD student in Computational Biology under the supervision of Prof. Giovanni Colonna of the Second University of Napoli and Dr. Angelo Facchiano, head of the Bioinformatics Group at the ISA-CNR in Avellino. Major thesis on bioinformatic tools for microarray data analysis of gene expression.

2001-2002 Short collaboration within the "Multidisciplinar project on the study of isolated populations in the National Park of Cilento and Vallo di Diano" with Graziella Persico at the Institute of Genetics and Biophisics (IGB – CNR).

1999-2001 Undergraduate research work on light signal transduction in diatoms under the supervision of Chris Bowler, at the Stazione Zoologica "Anton Dohrn", Napoli. Major thesis on developing reporter gene systems in a model diatom to study the expression patterns of endogenous genes involved in the construction of the light harvesting complex.
